A wide band of pale lavender (or periwinkle) sprinkled with alternating trios of stylized pears and floral cornucopia decorates Wedgwood's early whiteware body dessert plate. Enamels range from the vivid parrot green of the leaves to a pale ochre trimmed with just a shadow of mahogany on the pears. Rose and coral flowers in the ochre and brown cornucopia are accompanied by two sweet aubergine blossoms spilling out. The entire border is edged with a black pinstripe around the white center and a second pinstripe just inside the black enameled rim.
