Enoch Wood and Sons pays tribute to that popular nineteenth century symbol, the beehive, in these medium blue tea bowls and saucers. A vignette of rural scenery featuring a cottage and prominent hives wraps the pearlware tea bowl. The interior of the cup is decorated with a wide border of grape clusters and florals at the rim and a second beehive in the bottom. The saucer repeats the scenic study in a central medallion framed by an even broader version of the floral and grape cluster border.
