Slightly larger than most Wedgwood miniatures, this footed amphora vase possesses a dignity that belies its scale. The jasper dip piece is constructed exactly like larger examples of the form with a separately modelled foot, attached with a metal bolt. The central frieze band contains two relief sprigs separated by branching trees set below each handle. A narrow band of laurel and berries provides a frieze below the tapering neck which is further ornamented with traditional hanging "trophy" groups.
