Sprays of peonies laid on a medium blue ground create this pattern's main border co-ordinating with a center oriental derived basket of peonies. Cell patterning creates a bead-like edging and an inner contrasting border enhancing the floral designs.

Coysh and Henrywood in their Dictionary of Blue and White Printed Pottery, 1780-1880, Volume I identify and illustrate a variant of this pattern used as a special commission for the Worshipful Company of Drapers of the City of London (Page 375).
