Little Wedgwood "Dutch" jugs such as this are well known among Wedgwood collectors. Generally found in dark blue jasper dip, such as this example, we have also seen them in black and even crimson jasper dip. While they generally appeal to most collectors of miniature wares, we have also seen them paired with a simple round open bowl -- indicating one original use as cream and sugar sets for coffee for the tables of four accompanying that mid-century passion -- Bridge.
